You can probably tell at first glance that Leo was not a Newborn anymore during his session. As much as I LOVE those squishy newborns, this session was one of my favourites! He was smiley, made great eye contact and the Family had a great amount of time to adjust to this sweet new little boy in their family and interrupting their sleep. Leos parents Jackie and Jeff had quite an amazing journey getting this little man and oh boy he was worth all of the ups and downs. Leos big sister, Emma loves to have fun laugh and be the centre of attention which isn't hard with her shining personality and beautiful ringlets. But let me tell you, she sure loves her little brother and is more than willing to share the spot light with him. If anyone is going to make Leo smile and laugh its Emma. She loves to snuggle her brother, and Id bet she's a pretty good helper.
Jackie, Jeff, Emma and Leo live in a cozy home in Smithers. You can see in every inch of their home that it's filled with love. Crafts on the go, photos on the walls and it was beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Jackie opted to do an In Home Newborn Session so their memories could have a focus on their whole life at this time. With Leo being older than my typical newborn client the session went a little quicker than normal - which I am sure Jeff was appreciative of haha! Going from a Family of three to four has had its challenges as it does any time we welcome a new baby to our families but. I couldn't imagine and they wouldn't have it any other way.
Its always such an honour to be invited into someones home for their session! And Mr Leo proved these sessions aren't just for Newborns! I am so happy for this family, and cannot wait to deliver these images to them so they can look back on them for many many years to come.
