The Details

As your Photographer, I have two goals. The first of course is to give you beautiful, timeless images to cherish and look back on for years to come. The second, is to take the stress out of the process. Each of my services is tailored with my clients in mind and each is customized. When you inquire we meet for coffee at the studio. This allows us to get to know each other, and plan the perfect session for your family. Each type of Photography I offer is something I am passionate about and I want your images to represent you as best as possible. Each session type offers 3 packages to choose from that are a mixture of Prints and Digital images. Digitals to share online and prints to forever hold those memories.

I have a large client closet, offering wardrobe to Women, Men and Children 0-11 years old. The client closet is complimentary with every session. All sessions are relaxed, and even fun! My style of Photography is to both pose and capture candid moments. I often use prompts; have you play games and snuggle to evoke true emotion. Newborn sessions in the studio allow for parents to relax in the client area with snacks and coffee while the session takes place. You are welcome to watch, or just enjoy Netflix! I am trained and experienced in working with brand new babies, and safety is always the first priority.

With each of the Sessions I meet you again to choose your images. We will watch a slideshow of your images, and your Keepsake video then together choose the package for your needs. I am there through the entire process to ensure your images are everything you imagined! Your prints will be hand delivered to your home within 3 weeks of your viewing appointment.

I absolutely cannot wait to work with your family, to get to know you and to give you timeless images that you will cherish for life.

How long is a session?

• For Newborns, on average the studio portion is 3 hours. • Family Sessions are on average 1 hour and so are Maternity and Couples. I do not have set amounts of time for sessions, they all vary based on the family and what we are doing!
I'm worried about what I will look like only hours after giving birth for a Fresh 48 session.

I am there to capture the raw moments, not the perfect ones. If you prefer, I am happy to leave images of you off social media platforms. Just ask :)
What should I wear?

This is something we will discuss and I will help you with when we do a consultation. I have a client closet for Maternity Clients, it does include a few things for Dad and Children. Don’t let it stress you though, I will be there to help you!
Im nervous my children won’t behave.

Not to worry, I am a Mom - I get it. I never expect children to behave during a photography session. Honestly, I would rather they have fun and be silly. Its how I capture them uniquely.
If you don’t pose us, do we have to figure out what to do?"

Definitely not! I encourage you to be yourselves and to roll with things as they come up but I won’t leave you hanging. I will give you games, prompts and direct you through the session.
Do I need to have a location in mind for our outdoor session?

Nope! Ive got it covered, I have many places around the Bulkley Valley that I use. These are spots I have done the work to find and have optimal lighting for my style of photography. However, if there is somewhere you love or you want to use your own property, I am always up for an adventure!
Do you photograph weddings?

Yes, but only 2/3 a year. I focus my business elsewhere to be able to spend summers with my family. But, I do love Weddings and happily take a few each year. If you are looking for a wedding photographer, contact me and we can go for coffee to see if we are a fit or I can send you in the direction of some amazing wedding photographers in the Smithers area!
What training do you have?

My training is mainly online, and practice. I have mentored with 2 well established Newborn Photographers as well as a business mentorship with Emily Jane Photography. I have done my research and been trained on proper way to handle a baby by newborn photographers as well as neonatal specialist at BC Women’s NICU.
Why do you like to meet your clients in person?

Call me old fashion but I just don’t get the same information when I talk to you online. I want to get to know you, and this gives us an opportunity to make sure we are the right fit for each other. It also leaves less room for misunderstandings in your photography session.
What is the purpose of a deposit?

Deposits hold your session date, I only take a certain number of sessions each month to ensure I can give each client the best service possible. Deposits are nonrefundable because I am unable to book your spot as long as a deposit holds it.
Can I get prints through you?

Absolutely! I work with a professional printer to be able to provide archivable prints to my clients. Many of my packages include prints in a memory box to!
